Opening of a “Center of Taste”
High-quality functional mix in the Kaiserreich Kiefersfelden
The centerpiece of the sustainable business park at the foot of the Kaisergebirge mountains, in a region attractive to both business and tourists, has started operations – with a balanced mix of retail, restaurant, office, leisure, and service space.
The Genusszentrum – the Center of Taste – in Kaiserreich Kiefersfelden Business Park celebrated its ceremonial opening on April 25, 2024, after little more than a year on site. The ATP design team enjoyed the ceremony alongside its clients, Unterberger Immobilien, the Mayor of Kiefersfelden, Hajo Gruber, and many other invited guests.
Officially operating since the beginning of April, the Genusszentrum is the centerpiece of the complex and offers space for an attractive mix of restaurant, office, and retail uses as well as a range of leisure facilities and services. Directly located on the A93 Motorway in one of the most sought-after regions between Munich, Salzburg, and Innsbruck, it is a popular place to go for locals and long-distance travelers that combines specialist facilities and good taste into a harmonious whole.
With its light and open architecture, the building ensemble sets a new tone. The design of the facade and the very knowing use of wood establish a relationship with the surrounding alpine landscape of the Kaisergebirge. And it is also a flagship project in terms of sustainability: The low level of soil sealing, the avoidance of fossil fuels, the construction of large areas of photovoltaic panels in order to maximize autarkic electricity generation, the use of heat pumps, and the greening of the roofs and the parking areas were at the focus of the design work.
