Laurin & Klement Kampus
Ceremonial opening of the new Škoda headquarters in Mladá Boleslav
The „Laurin & Klement Kampus” sets standards in terms of sustainability: ATP worked in cooperation with ATP sustain to develop a particularly sustainable building concept in line with VWI’s guidelines for “Good Planning and Efficient Building” and the requirements of the Blue Building Standards and on the basis of renewable energy sources.
After almost two years on site, ATP architects engineers joined the clients, media representatives, and many other guests to celebrate the opening of Škoda Auto’s new state-of-the-art corporate headquarters. ATP Vienna and ATP sustain were commissioned with the BIM-supported integrated design of the complex in 2018 following their success in a competition. The Laurin & Klement Campus establishes a benchmark in the area of sustainability and the opening day was marked by the presentation of the Austrian Green Planet Building Award. The objective is DGNB Gold certification.
As the client and investor of the new corporate headquarters of Škoda Auto, we are proud of having designed and realized this innovative campus building with professional partners.

Sustainably forward-looking
ATP worked in cooperation with ATP sustain to develop a particularly sustainable building concept in line with VWI’s guidelines for “Good Planning and Efficient Building” and the requirements of the Blue Building Standards and on the basis of renewable energy sources. The compact construction method and targeted measures including a highly thermally insulated building envelope, large PV plant, and modern ventilation systems lead to a high level of operational energy efficiency. Compared with reference buildings, energy consumption is reduced by an annual total of 2,720.00 kWh/a – which is equal to the consumption of around 136 households. The garage is almost universally equipped for electromobility in order to further reduce the CO₂ footprint. The design of the building and its surfaces pay close attention to easy cleaning and low-maintenance and dirt-resistant execution. Great care was also taken to ensure that all areas are fully accessible.
ATP’s integrated design process has enabled us to design a modern building complex whose sophisticated services include monitoring and networking processes. This is not only highly efficient and climate-friendly in terms of prognosis but also offers huge potential for operational optimization.

Activity-based workplace
The interior and exterior spaces are designed to the highest quality. In order to enhance the cooperation between and the satisfaction of the employees, the design team introduced specific measures to ensure visual, acoustic, olfactory, and thermal comfort.
A highly flexible and modular segmentation concept structures the entire campus. The individual segments are organized on a grid and equipped with similar building services, which permits, for example, the air conditioning and media use to be controlled centrally. Numerous connections between the four wings of the building create synergy effects. The offices offer a range of working environments that optimally support employees in their work. In addition to regular office zones, these include community areas for networking, exchange, and relaxation.
